Abaya Dress

Abayas are a perfect example of modest fashion. The abaya is often a very loose fitting and free flowing dress meant to conceal the form of the wearer's body. However, the crest and sleeves are often very intricately embroidered to still give a modern and cultured look. The abaya is great for special occasions and holidays. Abayas are the most common form of modest Arabic women's dress and can be seen very often in Arabian fashion. Colorful poncho style abayas have been common in western countries where women wear it over jeans or pants with a long sleeve tunic.
